A Blog about Blogging. How unique!

Sunday, March 21, 2010

See that title? It's called sarcasm. There is nothing special about a post about blogs (too much use of the word about? I think so.)

But anyways, blogs. I love them. I noticed this a few months ago, when I started reading Teri's
and Lindsay's Blogs. That list grew to include, well, everything on that blogroll on the right.

I really love that my blogroll has the title and date of the most recent post. But it breaks my heart when I see that one of my favorite blogs was last updated a few days ago. Sometimes, I get sad even when its only yesterday that it was updated. (See the two first mentioned blogs and also Chelsea's. Those are the ones I wait for most impatiently.)

I have read the complete blogs, from way back in the beginning, to current, of at least ten blogs. I love when blogs I read have blogrolls. It gives me something to do. More blogs to read. I hate when I stumble across one that is brand new and only has a few posts. I like that you're blogging, but more please?

Fascination. I think that's what it is. I blame the writer in me. I've always been a people-watched. Usually it's with people that I will see often though. Not people who I will lose track of. I like to watch the same people over and over. See habits and patterns. It has always fascinated me. On a few occasions I've been asked what I think *insert name here* thinks about *insert situation*. And then three weeks later it'll come to light that I was right. It's not because I'm usually good at understanding people. It's just that I take the time to do it properly. I watch, I observe, I wait, I analyze, I make silent predictions and then wait to see if they come true or not. If not, I re-evaluate. I do this to everyone. Oh dear I sound like a creeper.

My point is, that blogs are often a place where people put at least a little of their thought process out there. It's like intense people-watching from afar. It's AWESOME!

So if you happen to have a good blog, send me a link off. That blogroll over there is just waiting to grow. I've been making my way, slowly, through the links in everyone's blogrolls. The hard part is keeping track of whose I looked at, whose I loved but forgot to add to my list, and whose I wasn't too interested in.

Finally, let me excuse any grammar errors, by saying that it's 11:41pm and I'm usually in bed right now. I'm a tired Boat. (Just got a lovely mental image of 'tired' barge being pulled along by a little tug boat.)

Hey there - thanks for the plug. :):) I didn't even know that you'd been reading my blog for a few months. I've done that before too though, before I started writing my own, I'd read, but never comment. Even message boards - I just didn't think I had anything new to add so I didn't bother. Silly, since we all love getting those comments and feedback. :)

I do love getting comments, but I feel a bit awkward leaving them unless I have something to say that might be useful. Someday I will get used to it, with the number of blogs I've been reading. Your blog inspires me. You're a strong, amazing person, who helps so many others. I want to be able to do that. Thank you, for posting your blog, and for reading mine.
